This Special Variety Show, filmed live at Auckland’s Civic Theatre, celebrates the extraordinary contribution kiwi showbiz icons Dames Lynda and Jools Topp have made to Aotearoa New Zealand over 40 years.

Hosted by Karen O’Leary (Wellington Paranormal) the show features a glittering line-up of many of NZ’s top singer-songwriters, musicians and comedians, including Tami Neilson, Anika Moa, Ria Hall, Dame Hinewehi Mohi, Troy Kingi, Jackie Clarke, Annie Crummer, Bella Kalolo, Hollie Smith, Don McGlashan, the Mitchell Twins, Sam Ford & Trudi Green, the Front Lawn, Chris Parker, Tom Sainsbury, and Te Radar, with Australia’s own king of camp Bob Downe making a surprise appearance.

Musical director Don McGlashan brings together the Blackbird Ensemble, Viva Voce choir, all-girl ukulele band the Kiwileles, with the North Shore Brass Band and house band Chet O’Connell, Tom Broome, Chip Matthews and Jess Hindin ensuring the show is a musical feast like no other.  And to top it off, legendary drag artists led by Buckwheat and Tess Tickles, perform to a special remix of a Topp Twins classic Friday Night Get Up.
