Queens of Chocolate
Queens of Chocolate is character-driven and observational documentary series about the women leading the transformation of the global chocolate industry.
Chocolate might be the food of love but it’s also the story of colonisation, racism, poverty, environmental collapse and capitalism.
The Series investigates how women-led change is addressing deforestation, child slavery, economic exploitation, disease, pesticide overuse and climate change, not only ensuring cacao’s survival and its growers, but creating better opportunities for everyone.
The project has been selected for the Australian International Conference (AIDC) Central Showcase FACTory Pitch 2024.
