Felicity Morgan-Rhind is an award-winning TV, commercials and short film director. With a degree from Otago University in social anthropology, she is deeply interested in what gives people meaning in their lives. This curiosity enables her to find the heart of the story that emotionally connects to the audience, no matter how challenging the subject. Over two decades of work, she has developed a unique style as a director, combining intimate storytelling with beautiful well-crafted imagery that invites an emotional and powerful viewing experience.

Most recently she has co-directed the Netflix series “Down For Love” -Winner of Best Original Reality Series New Zealand TV Awards 2022.

Her short documentary film How Mr and Mrs Gock Saved the Kumara premiered at the NZ International Film Festival in 2015 and has screened on over 100 online platforms around the world. It is also used as a teaching tool in film schools both here and abroad. Her documentary The Hardest Decision won the NZ Media Peace Award 2003.

And her dramatic short film Donuts for Breakfast, which she also wrote, won Best Film in the NZ Shorts Film Festival 2001 and screened at the Sundance, New York and Cannes Fortnight Film Festivals to name but a few. Her TV commercial for Frank won a Bronze Lion at the Cannes Advertising Awards 2008 and she has won numerous awards in NZ and Australia for her other advertising work.

A multi-talented storyteller across several mediums, Felicity brings a beautiful visual style, enormous empathy and dedication to her work.
