Don McGlashan

Don McGlashan Don McGlashan is one of New Zealand’s most acclaimed singer/song-writers with a career that spans Britain, where his band The Mutton Birds enjoyed success in the 90s, Australia and New Zealand. In 2008 he opened ‘solo’ for Crowded House on their North American tour and together with Wilco was part of Neil Finn’s recording project 7 Worlds Collide.

Don is also one of our most prolific and award-winning film composers. He composed the score to Jane Campion’s Angel at my Table, Toa Fraser’s 2006 feature film “No 2″, (which won the Audience prize at the Sundance Film Festival), Dean Spanley (featuring Peter O’Toole and Sam Neill) and Andrew McCarten’s Show of Hands. He has also penned five of New Zealand’s Top 100 Songs of all time.
